Goodbye for now

This will be the last post on this blog. I've been discovered by the powers that be from the future and let's just say they aren't happy about the fact that I stole their time travelling technology. I have to lay low for a while and hope things blow over. Hopefully I can figure out a way out of this. I fear for my life and for my family's future. Wish me luck, and thanks for listening. The future is yours, so do what you can to change it for the better. There may be infinite universes but you, my friend, only get one, so make it good.

More progress

It's been a while since I last posted, because I've been very busy. I travelled about 7 years into the future, from here, and a friend of mine helped me establish an alternate identity, so I could obtain a job and get information from a government office. So, in 7 years, if you read a headline that says "Government intern steals classified files and mysteriously vanishes" well, that was me. Or, it will be me. Unless events I change before that 7 years is up affect the outcome of the election of the man I was working for, but that's doubtful. All that will mean is that the dimension I just visited will still exist, just not for you. The information, nonetheless, is still very valuable.

I wish I could me more specific on here, instead of having to write so vaguely and not give names or dates. Unfortunately, for that small percentage of people who believe what I'm writing, there's a danger that they could affect the outcome of what I'm doing. And believe me, I don't want to waste the massive amount of work I've done just to quench the public's curiosity! I suppose when this is all over, I could write a book and pretend it's fiction!

Basically what I've been doing is contacting government and religious leaders from around the world. I'm no actor, and I'm still working on being well, a spy, in a way. So when I meet with these people and something goes wrong, I simply sneak away (even to a bathroom) and travel to another time or dimension. After having to do this numerous times, I realized maybe I need another approach. I've already convinced a few people to try and make changes for society in the direction they need to, but what I'm doing now is recruiting people who AREN'T in a government position, and aren't directly in charge of anything at a church, but still have ties to those societies. Hopefully it will work out.

One such instance went like this... I travelled to a dimension not too far off from ours, and saw on television a very influential activist / public speaker / celebrity. Think Michael Moore or Tim Robbins. Something like that. However in our dimension, somewhere along the line he didn't get to go to college because he had to take care of a sick family member. He's a very noble person, and still has the potential to be what he would've been had he finished school.

So I befriended this man (he's about my age) and got him to open up about his political beliefs. I remember a key conversation we had where I brought up a "hypothetical" situation where the future didn't look so great. (I obviously don't reveal my time travelling to people ever, because I would lose credibility). He got very fired up and talked about how he wanted to finish college, and so I gave him the money to do so and funded his sick mother's stay in the best nursing home we could find.

See, being a time traveller, and needing to get important and sometimes expensive things done, I decided to travel to the not so distant past and invest some money. Gambling, to start, and then when I had aquired enough, I put it in stocks I knew would rise a LOT in the coming years. So, whether it's ethical or not, you decide. I'm not doing it so I can buy myself fancy things. I'm doing it to fund my mission. And since it's under a false name, I can take out money at any time. It's amazing that banks (well, the one I use for now, anyway) don't get suspicious when your identification says you're 125 years old. Of course, you don't have to do much in person anymore, and especially not in the near future. We won't even have credit cards anymore, but an implant that stores all your info. A tiny little chip in your arm. And physical coins and bills will be pretty rare.

So, I'm back at home for now, taking a few days or weeks off to rest. After that I will head to the future and see if my new friend took to his education and became the whistle blower he was in that other dimension. He won't end up changing the world completely, but he definitely starts a revolution, and inspires others to try the same. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Back in time

Sorry for the bad pun in the title there. I also apologize for my poor writing skills. I'll attempt to do a better job at using paragraphs.

I've spent the past few weeks doing some travelling to advance my mission. So far things are going well, and I've accomplished contact with a few key individuals. More on that later. For now, I will address a few questions that have been emailed to me (arthurcarlin AT hotmail.com):

Q.- Why wait so long between blog posts? Shouldn't you just be able to accomplish your whole mission and travel to a point right after your last post to complete it?

A.- I've also been spending time with my few family members and friends. Even though I'm travelling a lot I still want to have a normal life, too. You can't time travel too often, either, because it wears down a person physically and mentally.

And since I am travelling within the same dimension (our dimension, in which I grew up and am trying to change the future for the better) I avoid at all costs returning to a point where I would encounter myself. Of the things I learned about time travel from my captors in the future, one is the psychological damage that can occur if you meet yourself, or even see yourself. I can't explain the details. I'm no scientist. But the gist of it says that our brains were never meant to handle encountering our "doubles", so if that happens, horrible chemical reactions can (but don't always) occur. I'd rather not find out exactly what happens for myself.

Q.- Can you travel to the future and bring back the cure for my loved one who died years ago, before they died?

A.- I can. However, since multiple universes exist, your loved one will not automatically appear to you in this dimension. All that will happen is that I will have cured your loved one years ago, creating a new dimension in which they are still alive. But take heart. There are a near infinite number of dimensions, so somewhere your loved one IS alive and well, and enjoying life to its fullest. And don't take for granted the friends and family and life you have now, because there are a near infinite number of dimensions where things are a LOT worse off for you.

Q.- Why are you blogging this information? Why should we care, or even believe you?

A.- The purpose of the blog is to inform the world now of what I'm trying to do. Bit by bit the story will fill in, as soon as I know what it is! Basically what I'm doing is contacting key individuals who've changed the world toward a better future in other dimensions. These dimensions I am visiting aren't too far off from this one, so these people are basically the same leaders-at-heart in our dimension, they just need to be convinced of the ways things will turn out if change doesn't start soon. I still have to figure out how much, if any, detail I can go into about these people.

Q.- How long is your mission going to take you?

A.- As long as it takes to get it done right. I literally have all the time in the world.

I'm not trying to be a martyr or anything. If I really wanted fame and glory from this, I'd be on television right now proving my ability to know the future.

I can't say this is all selfless. That's not true. I want my family and my ancestors to grow up in a future I know can happen, because I've seen it.

As far as having all the time in the world, I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that that is almost true. Even though I leave this time period for weeks at a time, and then come back here in what seems to my family as a day or so, I will still be around long after they've all passed on. I was "altered" in the future so that my DNA structure ensures I will not grow old for around 1000 years. I can't explain it scientifically, but it has something to do with how the body regenerates cells. Whatever helps my system regenerate and heal itself over time has been "supercharged" like most others in the future.

The reason I'm not completely positive it will last as long as they said is because it was an experiment. Most people in the time of my captors choose to live around 3 or 4 hundred years, max. They experimented on me to see if someone from their past, who hadn't evolved as much as them, could hold the "supercharging" correctly. (I apologize for not remember the technical terms for these procedures). When they last checked, it appeared my body was growing old at about one-tenth the normal rate.

I'm hoping it doesn't take me a thousand years to get done what I need to.

The future is bleak

Unless we do something about it. Technology gets to an unbelievable point in a couple thousand years (time travel is pretty much the ultimate accomplishment for a race) but the evolution of emotion and reason doesn't. I got very jaded toward the human potential when I saw what I did in the future. But then I stole the time device and was able to travel sideways through time, observing other dimensions and seeing that if only we change the path we're on right now, there's still hope for utopia. It's tough, though. Most of the dimensions I've seen have been a LOT worse than the one I was brought to originally (the future of the dimension you live in, where World War III hasn't happened yet, and you still have most basic freedoms). But I believe with help and hope I can steer THIS dimension, OUR Earth, toward something great.

First, let me explain what I meant in the last post about "One Mind, One Soul." Eventually all Earthly religions (and a few from other worlds, which I will get into in another post) meld together, for the most part, and become one. "Shorkta" is how the name of the world religion is pronounced, and it basically translates to "the belief." This may sound peaceful and wonderful and "the world will live as one" like John Lennon said, but it's anything but. You see, the basis of Shorkta is that humans, with the help of genetic technology and mind control, will eventually all think the same, act the same, etc. (The Borg in Star Trek, almost). There will be no poverty, no more war, no grief, no pain... No emotion, period. No differences. No real happiness. The claim that our souls will be as one, but if you believe in souls, you probably believe that can't be. I myself am an agnostic. And from things I've seen in the future I'm leaning very much closer to the side of the atheists. I can't give away any specifics, because it would ruin the basis of many peoples lifestyles right now. There are things mankind isn't meant to know just yet. Or ever. Let me just say that those in the future have certainly messed with the past to change things for their own self interest. The thing is, these changes were made before they realized that it would NOT change THEIR own dimension, but instead, create a new one. So, when changes were made, many "time scientists" simply moved to those other dimensions where their power and greed was multiplied ten-fold by what had been done to the past. These people have messed with existence itself for personal growth.

However, in our future existence, there are two people. The ones who go along with all the necessary changes (biological, emotional, physical) towards a unified, monotonous humanity, and those who rebel against the authority. Right now, the Rebels are almost powerless to do anything about it, but luckily the authories pretty much leave them alone. Alone in desecrated parts of the world. Barely able to survive, but working together to make it through. Those are the only "real" people left. It's very hard to describe. You need to see it for yourself. There's so much to write about them and their struggles. I will try to keep these posts shorter and to the point, if I can. Like I said, I'm no writer.

I will put up a frequently asked questions section on here when I get some questions. I can think of a few you probably want to know answers to, and I will start with those. But for now, comment on what I've told you so far, and let me know what you're wondering about. There's a lot to tell, believe me.

My background

Just a little about me, so you'll know where I'm coming from. My name is Arthur Carlin, and my friends call me Art. Before I was abducted, I worked for the Leinenkugel brewery in Milwaukee (boring paperwork/quality control stuff, but it paid the bills). One night, I was taking a walk by my house, and suddenly I was asleep. I think it felt like something hit me, but I pretty much blacked out. I awoke in what looked like a really nice hotel room. The sun was shining in through the window, and I almost felt a little hungover. I got really frightened, as you can imagine. Here I am, assuming I must've had a crazy night of drinking and went to a hotel with someone I didn't know. But before I freaked out too much, a man came into the room named Frent. I assumed it was room service, so I told him to leave. Well, then he explained things to me. They'd taken me from the past, from Earth, and now I was in the future. Over 4000 years, although the calendar had changed, so the year was actually 366, based on a major event that is one of the main reasons I'm trying to change things here. "Why did you pick me?" I asked. Well, he explained that they'd remotely mapped my brain and thought patterns and determined within a 1% error rate how I'd react and cooperate with the experiments. Guess they were right, because I jumped at the chance to see the future. I wouldn't have agreed, but he also explained that no matter how long I stayed there, I would come back to my past in the exact place I left. To prove it, after a few hours they sent me back. Every molecule of my body put in the exact place it was taken from in 2004. To anyone watching (there wasn't anyone) it would've looked like a guy walking down the street, suddenly stopping to look surprised, and then continuing to walk. They told me not to mention my "trip" to anyone, and they'd pick me up again in a week, or sooner if they found out I was "going to" tell someone what happened. Apparently, the "time map" they saw of me in that next week said I would tell a LOT of people, so they picked me right up again a few minutes after dropping me off. What the hell?! was my reaction. They didn't explain they had the technology to know I'd told anyone (who'd believe me, anyway?), but I should've figured out that they had ways to find out. So, anyway, they considered wiping my memory and just sending me back, but I agreed to go along with any experiments. None were painful (the anesthesia of the future is undescribably great, and surgery is completely reversible and risk-free), and they treated me well. I saw so many incredible things, and none of it mattered to them, because my memory would be wiped after everything anyway. I'd be sent back just where I left from, remembering nothing and just feeling a quick sense of deja vu. (That's how they explained it to me, at least). "What's my incentive for doing this then, if I'm gonna forget the whole thing?" was one thing I asked. So, they agreed to give me a "gift" to take with me to keep in my present time. The gift of clairvoyance. Like REAL clairvoyance. For them, it wouldn't matter, because in their reality, I existed 4000 years ago and could not tell the future. But once they sent me back, a very similar offshoot of their reality would exist parallel to theirs, in which most things were the same, except some guy in the past named Art was a clairvoyant. Pretty neat, huh? Well, the whole deal sounded great to me until I stumbled upon what our future really looked like. See, I was cooped up in a vast above ground facility with all the technologies and amenities you could ever dream of. The future was bright, indeed, or so it seemed. But I escaped from the facility (another story for another post) one day with the help of one of the "slaves". They were called "chopkas" by my scientist "friends", but basically they were slaves. When I discovered the outside world, I saw that an Earth-wide civil war was going on. A war between those that accepted the "one-mind, one-soul" vision of the world and, well, those that didn't. I'll continue with that next post... I still have much to learn. Things to discover. There are parallel dimensions where this doesn't have to happen. I have to figure out why.

2005/08/06

Greetings from everytime.

Human beings. Earth. 2005. Government, economy, schools, weather patterns, etc. Check. Looks like I'm in the right dimension to do this now... let me explain: I was born October 4th, 1970, in your dimension of time. Obviously, time travel hasn't yet been invented here, so you may be confused as to how I got here. Is this for real? Why am I doing this? Well, as strange as it sounds to say this, I was "abducted", if you will, only one year ago today, in your perception of time. Travellers from our future came back to the year 2004 to take forward a pure human for various experiments. I was probed, prodded, explored with instruments not yet dreamed of. Beside that, I was taken care of decently, mind you. For a science nut, this journey was an incredible start to an adventure I never thought possible for myself. I learned about the technologies of the future, and about the intricacies of time travel. And one day, after they had put their trust in my hands to view the technology, I stole it. I hadn't planned on it. It was an incredible feeling of power, curiosity, and instinct that told me what I needed to do. I travelled to many dimensions within a few thousand years of time before and after 2005 as you know it. I needed to study how the world I grew up in could be changed for the better. You see, understanding time travel as I do, I realized that there are infinite possibilities for the outcome of humanity, and basically ALL are being played out as you read this, in some parallel dimension. Everytime something changes, something that might not have if things had happened differently, time splits in two. You rode your bike to work yesterday instead of driving? Well, somewhere on an alternate plane, you drove. And the futures of these two dimensions will be different. The farther in the future you go, the more differences you will see. It's called "the butterfly effect." And it's real. Another time travel term you may be familiar with is the "grandmother paradox." Go back in time, kill your grandmother, and you won't exist, right? Wrong. You do exist, have always existed in your dimension, and will continue to exist. All you've done is created a dimension in which you don't exist, and neither does your grandmother. But there all already a near infinite amount of dimensions in which you don't exist, anyway. Well. Damn. I've realized I may have started this all wrong. I need to explain things better. I'm just a normal guy, not a writer. I try to put things in layman's terms, and hopefully I'm doing that decently. Let me know.

Anyway, the reason I'm "blogging" to you, the reader, whoever you may be, is for purely selfish reasons. Even though there are near infinite parallel dimensions, and I have the ability to live out my days in a practical utopia if I wish, I choose to help, in whatever small way I can, the dimension and time of Earth that I call home. And if I can change this dimension in a small way, I can attempt to make a bigger change. And a bigger one after that. And make THIS EARTH the place to be. Call it a case of God complex, if you will. I'll never deny my education and experiences have fed my ego to a bursting point. I need to do this for my own sake. I need to learn about our world and how it grows.

Many would not bother with this expedition, especially with the dangers involved. You see, I'm not the only one travelling. You could probably guess that with any common sense. There are others, but few of them. They are tracking me, because it's against all codes of time travel to do what I am doing. It's their job to bring me down any way possible. And with the technology they are using to try and find me, I'll have to stay on my toes every minute. I do have the technology to hide, for now. And I'll have to put it to good use. This blog is obviously coming from a remote point, but it will seem to modern technology to be coming from the same home computer every time I post. And I will try to post as often as I can to explain my mission to you. I will also answer any questions, to the best of my ability, about time travel, the future, or the past. Keep in mind, I am not a genie. All I can tell you about is the places I've been and the things I've seen. For the purposes of my mission, there are some things I cannot tell you about. Some things are best left unknown for now. But I was curious about the workings of time, and I still am. There's so much to know, it's unbelievable. And the rabbit is out of the hat. Well, for now, I will think of an organized (hopefully) way to present the information I have to you and to tell you of my adventures so far. I will also update as frequently as I can after each of my trips, of which there will be many. I look forward to your questions and comments, friends of 2005.
